offering cookies and cookie cutters based on traditional shapes and symbols of
African culture. Ethnic Edibles makes a cookie cutter set that includes
chocolate cookie mix, recipes, an icing bag and a booklet that explains the
African creation story, proverbs and a history of each cutter. the cutters come
in the shapes of the African continent, a mask, a Djembe drum and a South
African Ndebele doll.
The set is available at the Harlem Collective at 2533 Frederick
Douglass Blvd., 212-368-0520; Exotiqa at 284 Columbus Ave., 212-721-4394, and
the Brooklyn Women's Exchange, 718-624-3435. Cookies are available, too.
